The Project
Fielders worked in collaboration with architecture firm, GHD Woodhead, on the highly anticipated B Apartment complex in Bowden. Valued approximately between $10-50 million, the 28,000sqm venue is the is the largest apartment building to be constructed in Bowden to date and is an example of the higher density, urban model of living that the State Government is promoting within South Australia.
Scheduled for tenant occupation by 2018, the state-of-the-art development is ideally located in the heart of Bowden and surrounded by key local attractions such as Bowden Town Square, retail precinct and Kevin Taylor Park. The units will offer residents unique views to the city and parklands, and allow them to explore the expanding suburb with ease.
The Process
The Fielders specification team in Adelaide worked in consultation with the project architects, GHD Woodhead, on the profile requirements for their building design. The Fielders Prominence™ and custom flashings in COLORBOND® steel Shale Grey™ were rolled to order at Fielders’ Mile End site.
The Solution
220mm wide Fielders Prominence™ was the solution of choice as it suited the building’s design perfectly. The product’s flat pans provided a clean and modern finish to the exterior of the building, and it’s ease of installation simplified the construction process for SA Construct.
